Photos: April 18 – Commonwealth Heads Of Government Meeting

Yesterday, (April 18, 2018) Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attended a reception for delegates from the Commonwealth Youth Forum at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in London. Earlier in the week The Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, appointed Prince Harry as a Commonwealth Youth Ambassador. In his new role Prince Harry will highlight and support the work and aspirations of young people across the Commonwealth, on both UK engagements and overseas tours to Commonwealth countries. He will also work to create links between young people and youth leaders, and will encourage them to use Commonwealth platforms to address the social, economic, and environmental challenges of their generation. In a speech after his appointment, Prince Harry mentioned how he was “incredibly grateful” that the woman he was about to marry would be joining him in his new job.

Meghan’s participation at these events in the next few days has been hailed as unusual as these important meetings are usually attended by senior royal family members and Harry and Meghan are still a month away from the wedding.
